"Our First, Most Cherished Liberty"

In response to the growing threat to religious freedom in the United States, particularly from (but not only from) the Obama administration, our Catholic bishops have issued a fine comprehensive statement on religious liberty that should be required reading for every American Catholic. It's an eloquently written yet realistic assessment of the dangers being faced not only by Catholics but by all religious believers in the United States. Leaders of other religions have issued similar statements of their own, and many non-Catholics have praised the bishops for taking a strong stand on this vitally important issue.

The document is entitled, "Our First, Most Cherished Liberty."

This is a call to arms.
